2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sports Coupe

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sport Coupe was caught as a mildly disguised prototype at a filling station.
Mercedes-Benz preparing to replace the current version of the C-Class Sports Coupe with a heavy facelift.
However, Mercedes will offer the 2009 Sports Coupe with the same 4-cylinder and V6 diesel and petrol units as the new C-Class. As we know, the 2009 C-Class Sports Coupe will be introduced at the 2008 Geneva Show in March.

Only Two Years To Go: Auto Express Looks At Mercedes' Next-Generation E-Class

Now that the 2008 C-Class has been unveiled and prominently displayed for the world to see, it's only fitting we turn our attention back to the land of body-cladding and conjecture, speculating what exactly we'll see in the next-generation Mercedes E-Class.

To do so, we turn our attention to Auto Express, who today has taken the liberty of posting a number of spy photos and details of what they think will be featured in the upcoming model. According to Auto Express:

"Mercedes will abandon SBC in favour of conventional brakes, although they will boast features such as wet-weather disc wiping and wheel-selective cornering brake control. Optional ceramic-composite discs could be introduced top-down, starting with the AMG models. The next E class will ape the S-class’s wheel-arch extensions, rising character line below the door handles, massive bumpers, and greenhouse. A more sculpted wide-frame grille, the more geometric nasal air intakes, and the wedge-shaped profile should give W212 a sportier stance."

2009 Mercedes-Benz C-class BlueEfficiency

Every carmaker that wants to sell cars in Europe faces the serious business of cutting carbon dioxide emissions before European Union lawmakers enact stringent emissions laws - the proposed level is 120 grams of CO2 per kilometer - in 2012. Mercedes-Benz continues its push toward powerful yet efficient cars with a comprehensive package it calls BlueEfficiency to reduce emissions and lower fuel consumption by 12 percent in its C-class line.

With BlueEfficiency, M-B applies its prodigious engineering talents to improve weight reduction (lighter windshield and forged wheels), aerodynamic drag (a 7 percent better coefficient of 0.25), and rolling resistance. Direct injection also migrates from its exclusive use in the CLS- and E-class lines, to the bread-and-butter C-class in late 2008. M-B showed the new C350 CGI BlueEfficiency sedan (with spray-guided direct gas injection) at Geneva, a more powerful, torquier V-6 with 10 percent better fuel economy than the current C-class V-6.

2009 Mercedes-Benz CLC Class Sports Coupe

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the official pictures of the new C Class Sport Coupe, or also known as the CLC. The Mercedes-Benz CLC Class Sports Coupe is the hatchback version of the Mercedes C-Class. According to the press release, the Mercedes engineers have newly developed or enhanced over 1100 components on the Sport Coupe.

Among the features of the CLC are distinctive coupe radiator grille featuring a large Mercedes star in the center, new projection-beam headlamps, boot with up to 1100 litres of luggage capacity, new tail lights, third brake light unit from the long row of LEDs.

There is a sports package prepared by Mercedes-Benz for the CLC which includes 18-inch light-alloy wheels, wide-base tires, headlamps with black inner surrounds, sports suspension with lowered body, leather sports steering wheel, dark brushed aluminium trim elements, instrument cluster with red needles for the speedometer and rev counter. Standard for the sports package includes a new direct-steer system.

At the interior, the Mercedes-Benz CLC features sports seats, a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control and brushed aluminium trim elements. Customers have the option to choose their own seat covers such as black, alpaca grey and combination of black and red color scheme.

Mercedes-Benz also offers 6 powerplants for the Mercedes-Benz CLC Class Sports Coupe which are four 4-cylinder and two 6-cylinder engines with power outputs ranging from 90 kW/122 hp to 200 kW/272 hp. The 135 kW/184 hp CLC 200 KOMPRESSOR now produces an extra 15 kW/20 hp while consuming just 7.8 to 8.2 liter per 100 km in the NEDC cycle (equivalent of up to 0.7 liter less than before).

With regard to fuel consumption, the CLC 200 CDI consume 5.8 to 6.1 liter per 100 km in the NEDC cycle, 10.8 % less than the outgoing model. The CDI models could go up to 1000 km with a full tank (62 liter).

The standard transmission for all the models is a 6-speed manual transmission but a 5-speed automatic transmission is available for the 4 cylinder units, and meanwhile the 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission is available for the V6 models. Gearshift paddles is available at the the steering wheel to select the gears of the automatic transmission manually.

The Mercedes-Benz CLC Class Sports Coupe will be available for public viewing for the first time at the European Mercedes sales and service outlets and authorised dealerships in May 2008.

Mercedes Benz C-Class 2008

For those of you that either want to upgrade your current Benz or finally make the leap into German luxury sedans, Mercedes released pricing for the US-bound C-Class, and the cost of entry is approximately $2,200 less than the outgoing model.

The new C-Class benefits from a freshly styled exterior that’s one of the more handsome designs to come from the automaker in recent years, and its new pricing structure undercuts its competitors, including the BMW 3-series and Lexus ES350.

If you’re stingy with the options list, you can get a manual transmission, but once you get into the higher-end versions, the automatic is standard and the price goes up accordingly. Two models are available: the 228 HP C300 and the 268 HP C350, with the former coming in at $31,200, while the latter bumps up the price another $5,300 (not including the $775 destination charge). Right out of the box, the C300 comes with 17-inch rollers, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, an LCD display, eight-way power seats up front and a power sunroof. Not bad for an entry-level Merc.

Look for the new C-Class to hit dealers on August 7, with AWD models coming the following month.

All the details are available in the press release after the jump.

2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

2008 Volvo C30

The Volvo V30 is a small sporty coupe that recalls the Volvo P1800 of the '60s and '70s with its hatchback shape and large one-piece glass tailgate. The C30 marks Volvo's return to the small(ish) two-door hatchback market. Volvo expects the C30 to appeal to younger buyers and turn them into Volvo customers -- as the marketing slogan goes -- "for life".

2008 Volkswagen R32

The R32 is the ultimate version of the Golf/Rabbit, sort of a GTI on steroids. Power comes from a 250 horsepower narrow-angle V6 driving all four wheels via VW's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system and a 6-speed clutchless direct shift gearbox.

2008 Subaru Legacy 3.0 R Limited

The Legacy sedan gets new front, rear and interior styling. The new 3.0 R Limited sedan, shown here, is powered by the horizontally-opposed six-cylinder engine available in the Outback.

2008 Subaru Impreza WRX sedan

The hot-rod version of the all-new Impreza, the WRX, returns with a 224 horsepower turbocharged 2.5 liter flat-four engine and, of course, all-wheel-drive. A 5-door hatchback will also be offered; the four-door sedan will be sold exclusively in North America.

2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5i hatchback

While most of the focus has always been on the hot-rod WRX, Subaru plans to put more emphasis on the work-a-day 2.5i version of the all-new all-wheel-drive Impreza compact. It will be available as a 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback/wagonette, and is powered by a 170 horsepower flat-four engine.

2008 Smart Fortwo

After years of speculation and rumor, Daimler-Chrysler -- parent company of Smart as well as Mercedes and Chrysler -- officially launched the Smart in the US at the 2007 Detroit auto show. Daimler-Chrysler says the Fortwo will be the only model sold, but they did not announce which body styles, trim levels, etc. we'll be getting. Best guess is we'll see the coupe and the convertible, though probably not the diesel-engine version currently sold in Canada. Starting prices will likely be under $15,000.

2008 Scion xD

This all-new model replaces the xA. Though it shares its platform with the subcompact Toyota Yaris, the xD gets a larger engine (1.8 liters versus the xA and Yaris' 1.5). Gone are the center-mounted gauges; the xD's instuments are mounted in front of the driver.

2008 Scion xB

Completely redesigned. The xB moves to the Corolla platform and shares its 2.4 liter engine with the tC. Styling is notably more rounded compared to the previous version of the car.

2008 Saturn Astra

The European-market Opel Astra joins Saturn's US and Canadian lineup for 2008. A replacement for the Ion compact sedan, the Astra is available as a 3-door or 5-door hatchback and features a 1.8 liter engine and lots of standard equipment.

2008 Pontiac G8 show car

A replacement for the Grand Prix, the new G8 is based on the Australian-market Holden Commodore and features a six-liter V8 driving the rear wheels. This is the "show car" version displayed at the 2007 New York Auto Show with fancy wheels and a lowered suspension.

2008 Pontiac G6 GXP coupe

A new top-of-the-line GXP version of the G6, available in coupe (shown here) and sedan form, adds sporty body and interior trim, hood scoops, and bigger wheels. The suspension will be tuned for more agressive handling; powertrain is the same 3.6 liter V6/6-speed automatic introduced in the 2007 G6 GTP.

2008 Mercedes-Benz SLK 350

The Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class Roadsters have long captured the hearts of sports car enthusiasts. Incorporating around 650 newly developed parts, the SLK models of 2008 are even more dynamic and now offer an even more emotionally charged driving experience. Key visual enhancements include new-look front and rear sections as well as a meticulously modified interior with a new instrument cluster and three-spoke sports steering wheel.

A fast-running V6 sports engine developing 305 hp and 258 lb-ft (224 kW / 360 Nm) and an optionally available direct-steer system truly bring the bold, dynamic character of the two-seater SLK 350 to the fore. Furthermore, all of the engines in the line-up are now far more economical on fuel and, therefore, emit even less CO2, despite a substantial increase in output in many cases.

The new-generation SLK models will be available from April 2008, costing between €36,503.25 and €69,049.75 including VAT.

Since their first appearance in 1996, the compact SLK Roadsters have come to symbolise Mercedes-Benz' dynamic brand image.

Mercedes-Benz SLK 350 2008Already a familiar sight on our roads, the second-generation two-seater is to be further enhanced with the implementation of a raft of measures in 2008, the aim being to further emphasise the car's sporty character and continue the SLK-Class success story by introducing new, dynamic, powerful elements.

Some 310,000 first-generation roadster models were sold between 1996 and 2004. And around 185,000 customers – some 60,000 of them in Germany alone – have already purchased the second-generation model since its launch in March 2004 (figures at year-end 2007). This means that total unit sales of the SLK Roadster are now approaching the half-million mark.

2008 Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG

The SLK 55 AMG is now even more dynamic: a new front apron and dark-tinted headlamps give this unique eight-cylinder roadster an even more athletic look even at a standstill. The handling dynamics of the SLK 55 AMG have also been sharpened. For the first time the car features the new direct steering with variable servo assistance, which makes the 265 kW/360 hp two-seater even more agile and responsive. The SLK 55 AMG is also the only car in its class to feature a V8 engine, while the improved AMG Speedshift 7G-Tronic transmission now offers even faster gear changes.

The appearance of the sporty roadster now reinforces the car’s claim to special status even more emphatically. The redesigned front apron with a more pronounced arrow-shape, the modified Mercedes star, enlarged air dams and a black-painted transverse fin on the lower section ensure a distinctly masculine aura. Large, round fog lamps with chrome surrounds are now positioned further outwards, enhancing the impression of width. The hot air from the integral engine oil cooler is vented via side outlets in the front apron. The specific AMG body styling also includes AMG side skirts, the muscular AMG rear apron with a black insert and the AMG spoiler lip.

Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG 2008New features also include dark-tinted projection-beam headlamps and larger exterior mirrors for better rearward visibility. LED indicator repeaters in an arrow design ensure more safety. Even more striking than before are the new 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a multi-spoke design. Painted in titanium grey and with a high-sheen star, these provide interesting contrasts when viewed from the side. With a width of 7.5 and 8.5 inches respectively, the AMG light-alloy wheels are fitted with size 225/40 (front) and 245/35 (rear) tyres. New, high-sheen 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a twin-spoke design are also available in the same sizes on request. Outstanding deceleration values are ensured by the AMG high-performance braking system with internally ventilated brake discs all-round. The front brakes have perforated discs of size 345 x 30 mm; 300 x 22 mm discs are fitted at the rear.

2008 Mitsubishi Lancer

Completely redesigned for 2008, the new Lancer gets a more agressive look that stands in stark contrast to the conservative outgoing model. The familiar 2.0 liter engine has been modified with a variable valve timing system that pushes output to 152 hp, and a continuously-variable transmission will be offered as an option, replacing the conventional automatic transmission. The new Lancer will be offered in DE, ES and GTS models.

2009 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

Mercedes-Benz will continue its long tradition of producing legendary sports cars when it launches the new-generation SL-Class in spring 2008.

The world's most successful premium roadster in its class features a new design with the emphasis firmly on sportiness and effortless assurance. These traits are also reflected in the handling qualities of the two-seater model, which now delivers even more athletic performance thanks to the new direct-steer system as well as offering enhanced comfort and safety.

The SL 350 is powered by a newly developed, extremely high-revving sports engine boasting an impressive output of 232 kW/316 hp yet returns a fuel consumption figure that is 0.4 litres per 100 kilometres lower than that of its predecessor (NEDC).

The SL range will now feature two six-cylinder models in the shape of the SL 350 and the new SL 280 (170 kW/231 hp) as well as the familiar SL 500 with a V8 engine and the top-of-the-range SL 600 with a V12 powerplant.

Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 2009The Mercedes-Benz sports car extends its lead in the safety stakes courtesy of bi-xenon headlamps, included as standard, and the Intelligent Light System whose light functions are designed specifically for typical driving situations.

Further new features on board include AIRSCARF neck-level heating. This system - invented by Mercedes-Benz and available as an optional extra - enhances comfort when driving with the roof down, extending the roadster season until well into the winter months.

SL passengers are kept informed and entertained by the standard-fit COMAND multimedia system, which has also been fully redeveloped and features additional functions.

The new-generation SL caps a glorious history of Mercedes-Benz sports cars, which began in 1954 with the introduction of the legendary 300 SL "Gullwing", followed in 1957 by the launch of the first SL Roadster. To date, the Stuttgart manufacturer has produced a total of over 630,000 SL sports cars.

Like its predecessors, the new-generation SL also merits its "incomparable" tag. No other sports car in this market segment offers such a perfect balance of sportiness, safety and comfort. These three qualities are the cornerstones of highly eventful, active motoring that provides a profound sense of well-being - for hallmark Mercedes-Benz refinement at the highest, sportiest level.

The Sports Coupé's design, technology and equipment meet the discerning requirements of young drivers looking for an athletic car that gives an involving drive, while at the same time delivering the hallmark Mercedes quality standards in terms of safety, comfort, environmental compatibility and functionality. Compared with the previous Sports Coupé, the Mercedes engineers have newly developed or enhanced over 1100 components. Engineering highlights of the CLC include a new direct-steer system for even more agile cornering, state-of-the-art infotainment systems featuring a colour display, Europe-wide DVD or hard-disc navigation and media interface, as well as an uprated four-cylinder engine that now develops 135 kW/184 hp. Fuel consumption has been reduced by up to 10.8 percent compared with the outgoing model.

Mercedes-Benz CLC Sports Coupe 2008The compact body dimensions and the muscular lines emphasise the sporty appearance of the new CLC. The Mercedes designers have completely redesigned the front and rear so that the Sports Coupé embodies the contemporary Mercedes design idiom with its distinctive coupé radiator grille featuring a large Mercedes star in the centre, and the new projection-beam headlamps. The S-Class, the luxury CL-Class Coupé and the C-Class provided the stylistic models. The redesigned large tailgate conceals a variable boot with up to 1100 litres of luggage capacity. The new tail lights, the long row of LEDs which make up the third brake light unit and the rear bumper subdivide the rear and emphasise its width.

The interior of the new Mercedes-Benz CLC is akin to a contemporary tailor-made suit - custom-fit and comfortable. Sports seats with better lateral support than ever, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control and brushed aluminium trim elements form part of the standard specification.

Mercedes-Benz has meticulously revamped the successful M‑Class. The new generation of the dynamic, stylish SUV now has even more distinctive characteristics, and looks even sportier and more powerful. The front end of this off-roader is now defined by a redesigned bumper, recontoured headlamps and a larger, even more dominant radiator. The rear view also sports a new-look bumper with integrated reflector strips, emphasising the vehicle's width, as well as tails lights with a smoked-glass look. Stylistic fine-tuning and new high-grade materials which are pleasing to the eye and touch combine with a new two-tone colour scheme to add fresh highlights to the interior. It now includes the unique anticipatory occupant protection system PRE-SAFE® and NECK-PRO head restraints as well as an all-new, high-performance telematics system developed by Mercedes-Benz, which is much easier to use thanks to a host of new functions. The Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG is also set to become even more distinctive and striking, courtesy of new front and rear aprons with a chromed underguard, and a larger AMG radiator grille.

Mercedes-Benz ML 420 CDI 4MATIC 2008The Mercedes-Benz M-Class is the trendsetter among today's SUVs. Its exceptional status is down to its characteristic dynamic, stylish design, a combination of compelling performance both on and off-road, the ride comfort and ease of operation of a saloon, along with a high perceived value. The M-Class also comes with a range of safety features that are unsurpassed in the SUV segment. Buyers have also come to appreciate these outstanding qualities. Since the second-generation M-Class was launched in April 2005, some 300,000 units have been delivered to customers around the world. As such, the state-of-the-art off-roader remains one of the most successful vehicles in this rapidly growing market segment.

Mercedes-Benz has now substantially upgraded the new-generation M-Class with fresh styling touches, even higher quality and extensively enhanced equipment and appointments. The premium SUV now looks even more powerful and sportier, making a bolder statement in terms of character and presence.

Mercedes-Benz ML 420 CDI 4MATIC 2008Added character and style for the exterior
The assured appearance of the M-Class is now marked by its dynamically flowing, yet at the same time crisp lines and a clear, powerful design idiom. Thanks to the new-look front-end as well as the modified rear, the new-generation M-Class looks more muscular yet brings a sense of aesthetic elegance to bear – in short, it has even more style.

The front end is dominated by a new-look, robust bumper as well as headlamps with a pronounced step in the lower edge. This step continues seamlessly down and around the radiator with its distinctive contours. The larger, lower-set radiator is another element brimming with character. Three wide, black louvres with large, rectangular air outlets and a gleaming chrome edge give structure to the radiator, making the new-generation M-Class appear even more dominant. Fog lamps set well to the outside and a new-look simulated underguard make the off-roader appear wider and even more dynamic.

The rear bumper with integrated reflectors has also been restyled, making the M‑Class appear even more poised and assured for anyone following behind. The optional stainless steel underguard conceals the exhaust system with its twin tailpipes and also gives the car a wider stance on the road. Integrated features include a hands-free system based on Bluetooth technology, and an aux-in connection for mobile audio devices such as an iPod. On request there is also a new Media Interface, which can connect an external music device with the off-roader's onboard electronics and control system, enabling music tracks to be shown in the instrument cluster and the colour display in the centre console, and conveniently accessed using the buttons on the multifunction steering wheel. At the same time, the audio device's battery is also charged.

There is a choice of three units, all of them with a colour display, a twin tuner for improved radio reception, speed-sensitive volume control, a keypad for entering telephone numbers and radio frequencies and a Bluetooth interface which enables a mobile phone to be wirelessly linked to the hands-free system. Along with the new telematics generation, Mercedes-Benz also is now also offering enhanced LINGUATRONIC voice-operated control system as an optional extra in the M‑Class for the first time.

The occupants are also able to enjoy a surround-sound experience of concert hall quality with the latest generation of the optional Harman Kardon® Logic7® sound system, which delivers exceptionally crystal-clear listening pleasure thanks to its output of 610 watts and digital signal processor (DSP).

Rear-seat passengers also have the option of a new entertainment system with two large 8-inch screens, a centrally integrated DVD player, two sets of wireless headphones for greater freedom of movement as well as two remote controls.

Unrivalled safety features as standard
The Mercedes-Benz M-Class has always set the benchmark in terms of safety in the SUV segment. In future it will also come as standard with the anticipatory occupant protection system PRE-SAFE® and NECK-PRO head restraints.

Fuel consumption reduced by up to 0.4 litres per 100 kilometres
The M-Class is powered by powerful yet economical V6 and V8 petrol or diesel engines, which are now even more fuel-efficient. The 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive delivers outstanding performance both on and off-road. And the standard-fit 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission with optimised shift characteristics translates the power from the engines into refined dynamism.

Five units are available in the new-generation M-Class ranging from 140 to 285 kW (190 to 388 hp). The engineers’ meticulous attention to detail has reduced fuel consumption by up to 0.4 litres per 100 kilometres compared with the outgoing models. Moreover, the most powerful engine developing 375 kW (510 hp) is available in the guise of the ML 63 AMG 4MATIC.

2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The new C-Class is bigger and gets several new features, including active shock absorbers that improve handling during agressive driving, a 7-speed automatic transmission, and an optional navigation system that stores map data on a hard drive rather than on DVD discs for faster route calculation. The C is offered in three models: C300 Luxury, C300 Sport and C350 Sport.

2008 Mercedes-Benz B-Class

After three successful years, Mercedes-Benz has overhauled the design and engineering of the B-Class.

The facelift programme focused on environmental compatibility, economic efficiency and comfort, with further advances being made in each of these areas.

Thanks to a series of detailed improvements, the four-cylinder engines now burn up to seven percent less fuel than previously, and distinguish themselves with remarkably low exhaust emissions that undercut the current EU limits by as much as 90 percent.

Mercedes-Benz has developed a new ECO start/stop function for the high-volume B 150 and B 170 models. This switches off the engine when stopped at traffic lights, for example, producing a fuel saving of up to nine percent in practical use.

Additional new developments include the bi-fuel petrol/natural-gas drive in the B 170 NGT BlueEFFICIENCY, along with active parking assist which helps drivers to both find a suitable parking spot, and then manoeuvre into it.

Mercedes-Benz B-Class 2008Since its market premiere in summer 2005, the B-Class has evolved into the blueprint for a new species of car which harmonises the benefits of various vehicle concepts: the four-door model boasts the dynamic design of a sporty saloon, the exterior dimensions of a compact car, the spaciousness of an estate, the versatility of a mini MPV and the trademark safety of a Mercedes-Benz.

The sales figures for the B-Class to date provide clear evidence that the Mercedes-Benz product planners hit the mark with a concept that caters to the motoring needs of today's sophisticated society: since mid-2005, over 350,000 motorists around the world have been won over by the Sports Tourer.

2008 Mercedes-Benz A-Class

The new-generation A-Class will be stepping into the limelight at the "Auto Mobil International" (AMI) motor show in Leipzig from the 5th to 13th of April, 2008. Following an extensive facelift, the successful compact car is younger, more attractive and more environmentally friendly than ever before. The convenient ECO start/stop function is available for the first time for the high-volume A 150 and A 170 models, which reduces fuel consumption of these BlueEFFICIENCY vehicles by up to nine percent when driving in city traffic. Mercedes-Benz has developed an additional BlueEFFICIENCY package for the three-door A 160 CDI, reducing the Coupe's fuel consumption to just 4.5 litres per 100 kilometres. Independent experts have confirmed these major environmental advances by awarding the A‑Class an internationally valid Environmental Certificate - the world's first compact car to receive such an accolade. The new-generation B-Class will also be celebrating its world premiere at the AMI. The sports tourer is now available with a petrol/natural-gas drive system for the very first time.

Mercedes-Benz A-Class 2008Since its world premiere in 1997, the A-Class has made a name for itself in the compact-car class as a trendsetter and groundbreaking innovator. Outstanding safety, everyday versatility and hallmark Mercedes reliability have always been the strengths of the A-Class, whose distinctive yet equally versatile concept has won over more than two million drivers since its launch.

The new-generation A-Class builds on these virtues: Mercedes-Benz is presenting a range of five-door saloon and three-door coupe versions in spring 2008, each sporting an all-round upgrade. The front end of the compact Mercedes-Benz is younger, yet at the same time more poised and assured than before. The sweeping lines of the new-look headlamps flow seamlessly along the front and into the flanks, which literally appear to have been moulded from a single piece.

The equally redesigned bumper reinforces this impression; its air intake at the bottom is noticeably larger, emphasising the width of the body. The radiator grille has also been redesigned to reinforce the progressive character of the A‑Class.

Mercedes-Benz A-Class 2008Design elements at the front help differentiate the A-Class lines even more clearly than before. For instance, the AVANTGARDE line features a specially designed bumper that further emphasises the arrow shape of the front and symbolises even more agility. Individual wheel designs help differentiate the side view of the A-Class lines. While the entry-level model comes with 15‑inch wheels with 7-spoke trim, the ELEGANCE and AVANTGARDE lines sport individually styled 16-inch light-alloy wheels. The new, larger exterior mirror housings and the door handles are now painted in the vehicle colour on all model variants.

The rear of the A-Class is dominated by a modified bumper and new-look tail lights that extend well into the flanks. Both features ensure that the body looks wider and even more powerful.
